The children in my classroom attend full-day pre-k in a public school. They must qualify by income to enroll in the pre-k program which means that all of my 22 students are eligible for the free or reduced lunch program. In addition many of them are first generation immigrants whose parents send them to school each day knowing their lives will be bettered by the education they receive in my classroom.
