I teach 5th and 6th graders in rural Ohio who are becoming more impacted by the economy. Our poverty has increased and family dynamics have decreased. Many students come from broken families where family members are short on cash and time. These students are often just doing the minimum to achieve what they need to and are not taking the time and putting in the energy to get the extras out of life. With this project, am trying to connect curriculum and real life activities so that the students get a new appreciation for learning. Thank you for your support of my project!

About my class
