My students are bright, motivated, and diligent workers that attend a public high school in rural South Carolina. The majority of our students are unable to provide basic classroom supplies (paper, pencils, notebooks, and calculators). Calculators are crucial for completion of Chemistry and used frequently in Biology. The majority of our students at our school receive free or reduced lunches from the state. This status is determined based upon household income and occupants. The majority of our students are at or below the poverty level. Even with these strong obstacles they are motivated and have made excellent goals for their future.
