We have had so many instances at our school, from bullying using the computer such as social networks to physical bullying. It is a turn-around school in a low income high-violence neighborhood. We have had shootings around the school to the point of having to keep our students locked in the school in order to keep them away from the violence. Our school was turned around two years ago and each year we have had students that were shot. Our student are struggling with respect of self and of one another. We are trying to change the culture in our school using PBIS: positive behavior intervention supports. It is working. Little by little students are buying into it.
