Our students are kids in grade 5-8th. We are 98% Latino and 96% below poverty rate. The school is located on the Southeast side of Chicago, a part of the city that was once a thriving mill town. Now the Mills are gone and it's basically a vast wasteland. No jobs, no culture, no movie theater. The majority of our students never venture over and beyond the bridges of the Southeast side. Our students have hearts of gold and always give to the utmost of their ability. We are a school that takes great pride in our students.

About my class
