Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and to make the choices that work best for them. We try all kinds of flexible seating. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. Students make amazing improvements when they are given a choice in their seating and take ownership in the school day. They almost always make good choices about where they sit, are more engaged, and get more work completed than when they are just sitting at their desk. They stay more involved, are more open minded, and are more determined. The benefits of flexible seating are seemingly endless. The product I selected will help my students by providing them additional seating options to promote ownership of their environment. The balls provide a moveable surface that allow bounce and better posture. The tractor seats provide a rolling chair for constant movement and flexibility. Lap desks provide a productive space in an extremely mobile fashion. Choice can positively affect the students’ outlook and performance. With your help, the additional options will help the kids be their best selves.
