I teach Transitional Kindergarten (TK) in California. TK was developed as a result of the Kindergarten entry birth date being rolled back from December 2nd to September 1st. Students in the TK classes will turn 5 between September 2nd and December 2nd. TK has been a fantastic program that strives to meet the social-emotional and academic needs of students, fully preparing them for the rigors of modern day Kindergarten.
