When students enter kindergarten, they are full of wonder. Some students have a year or two of preschool under their belts while others are just learning about school structures. Five and six year olds have a five to ten minute attention span before the need a brain break or a change in delivery of instruction. With flexible seating their little bodies will be able to move and choose different positions to help build siting stamina. With this increased stamina comes more focused learning. Flexible seating will also give students a choice for independent work time. Students can work in a space he or she chooses that best meets their needs. Giving students a choice helps them take ownership over thier learning.
