Flexible seating will allow my students to choose a seat that will work best for them in their learning environment. Not only will this help them during their independent work but also in a group setting. Currently my students have a choice between rolling chairs and stationary chairs. This new flexible seating will allow them to move around and wiggle while still staying engaged in their work and activities throughout the day. The flexible seating that I have chosen for our classroom will allow my students to become more independent, focused, and less disruptive to their peers. The Standing Desk will allow those students that prefer to stand during class a safe and suitable option for their learning. The Bean Bag chairs will work great with a lowered table for lessons or in other areas of the room for reading. The ball chair and wiggle seats will benefit by more active students and help them to stay focused at their desks. I feel that by offering my students these additional seating options they will grow socially, physically, mentally, emotionally, and educationally.
