For the students of today, technology is a part of their daily lives. It will be a part of any job they get, and many of them will shop online as adults. We need to help students understand how to use technology as a tool for making good decisions. The Chromebook will enable my students to gain deeper understanding of the concepts we are working on, including financial literacy skills such as comparison shopping. Independent research must become a part of their daily lives. I am always amazed that students believe if it is on the internet it must be true. I need a Chromebook so that these students can learn to evaluate the source of the information they gather. They need to understand how to evaluate the information they find about products in order to make better financial decisions.
