My students are eager to learn and want to learn. A lot of my students come from low income/high poverty homes. My students also come in with a wide variety of learning readiness. It is up to me and my colleagues to nurture those needing extra help and also to challenge those excelling. Our school is brand new! With this, our school is implementing school wide teams which we are going to call "houses". This will build community and excitement within the school. Each house will compete in team contests, gain points by displaying random acts of kindness, and will participate in other leadership activities. Our staff is a phenomenally close team that wants all students to succeed and excel. A rigorous curriculum along with implementing teaching techniques inspired from The Ron Clark Academy, our students are captivated and motivated to come to school to learn.
