Middle schoolers are notoriously apathetic, so it takes a lot of passion and energy to keep them excited and focused in class. I've seen Djembe drums do just that when I visited Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta. The drums keep the kids focused on the success of their peers, and they transform a right answer or good effort into a major success for every student. Success breeds passion. And passion makes school exciting and wonderful, and most importantly, it makes learning fun!

About my class
