My third, fourth, and fifth grade students attend a high poverty school and our community is hit with a high unemployment rate. When children are faced with hard times at home, they are more prone to hide their feelings by bullying their peers. I see my students as loving individuals and wanting to do their best; however, the situations in our world today cause hardships on families, especially the children. But with appropriate information and guidance in school, they will learn ways deal to with their feelings other than bullying.

About my class
