The majority of my students are from Central America. Not only have they not necessarily been to school recently, they're sometimes not proficient in their native Spanish language. Since I am the Native Language teacher, I would like to enhance their proficiency in their own language. Over the course of the school year, my students make leaps and bounds in both English and Spanish. The binders will enable us to showcase student growth by creating individual portfolios which we can display at our parent night. Additionally, lack of familiarity with a computer is often a problem with my students, so having access to a Chromebook in class will enable the students to practice using the computer in a small setting, as well as provide the opportunity to practice vocabulary and writing.
