As students move around the room to enjoy independent reading, they will be motivated to use the flexible seating and find just the right spot to be taken away by their book. Some students love to stand, others need a seat that stimulates, while others like to find a quiet and comfy place to read. As I come to students for our conference and check in, I’ll know that they have found the spot that they feel is the most comfortable and appropriate place for them. Shortly, they will be zoned into their book and never wanting the class to end.
