My students are smart, energetic, and surprising! Many of them come from homes of poverty, and face challenges daily. They come to school in hopes of making a change in their and their families' lives. Most of them do not have basic necessities, and yet we ask them to thrive, academically. My students rise to that challenge! They come to class eager to learn, and to grow. They have big dreams, and want to share their strengths with the world. Many of my students come to me several grade levels behind. They have been thirsting for and education, and that is what I want to give them.
