Each morning I look out and see 20 3rd graders full of possibility. My day is full of energy and productive chaos (usually.) I do not have one shy student in the bunch, which makes a unique pool of vivid personalities waiting their turn to express themselves. The majority of my students are not reading at grade level not because they lack the ability to read, but many have not been nurtured to read in their home environments.
