I work in a class of 12 students that are grades 6th, 7th, and 8th in the middle of New York City. They are all Special Education students. It is a great group of students. They have made so many improvements this year! We have been building their independent reading and their reading levels have grown. I want them to have access to books that are on their reading level so they can continue to grow and I can help cultivate a community of avid readers. I also help to service other Special Education students in the school through a resource room setting. I hope this library of books will help other students in the school who need books on their level as well.
