I have 21 creative 1st graders who love to show off their accomplishments. What better way to do this, but by bringing home colored pictures of themselves engaging in class activities to show their mom and dad! My website contains student work and pics, but since we are a high poverty school, many of the parents don't have internet to view the site. My newsletter contains pics, but I am unable to print in color, and the quality of the pictures on our school printer isn't very clear. I also have 5 English language learners in my classroom, so pictures would help these parents see what is going on since my newsletter may be a bit hard for them to comprehend. It is for this reason that I am asking for help in purchasing a colored printer so that I am able to bring the class activities to the parents. I will use this printer to print out pics of engaging activities and students work that the parents do not get to see, and allow the kids to show-off and take pride in their work!
