I have a wonderful group of science students that are excited participate in STEM related activities. We are a small charter school, but these students have big ambitions in STEM topics and careers. Occasionally, we have guest speakers from the local science community or we Skype with engineers from across the country (mostly associated with NASA). Most of the activities we complete are NASA engineering design challenges. Students learn how to identify problems, collaborate on solutions, design, test, and re-test. The level of engagement and excitement is very high! We aim high and reach for the stars!
