While we are a small school in a small town, students in our middle school journalism class come from every walk of life. Our video editor speaks both English and Spanish fluently and is a first generation American. Two of our reporters get up before dawn every day to feed and care for livestock (a steer and a pig) they are raising as 4-H projects. Our staff includes hockey players, a computer programmer, dancers, and basketball players. What we have in common is a commitment to documenting the daily life of middle and elementary school and producing an affordable yearbook that every student will enjoy for years to come.

About my class
