As sophomores in Modern World History, the challenge is often to relate our studies to real life. I often get the question, "Why does history matter?" I love the challenge of answering that question! Or, better yet, challenging the students themselves to answer that question! The Enlightenment Carnival, held each year during first quarter, requires and inspires students to do just that. In fact, the Carnival is open to the public, so they get to tell MANY people why history matters.

About my class
