We are a Title One school in California with over 50% of our students in our English Language Learner programs. Many do not understand or comprehend the nuances of the English language. My students love to learn through literature and the activities we do. My students love to read out-loud to each other and are learning how to use inflection while they read. Many are able to transfer what they have learned into other areas of our day - writing, science, social studies, math, and art. Roald Dahl's books engage them with his vivid imagination and story line.

About my class
