Developing a love of books and stories is important in the early years. Providing an inviting place in the classroom where students can enjoy books is one way to give students an opportunity to develop a love of books and reading. Students choose a spot to read each day during independent reading and most choose to stay at their seats. They often get distracted by others and are not able to focus on their book. If we had a few bean bag chairs in our classroom, students would have a comfortable place to read their books. I think bean bag chairs would work well in our classroom because we don't have a lot of extra space. The chairs could be stacked when we are not using them.
