My students face many challenges both inside and outside of the classroom. They live in a high poverty area, but are still wonderful eager learners that come into the classroom with bright smiles and ready to learn. Most of my students are limited English language learners, so they are not only learning the common core standards of education, but also learning the English language development standards. They are a hard-working bunch.
