I can't think of anything more important than teaching my first graders how to read. It is the foundation of their education. Having the right tools to assist in reading instruction can save time and energy as well as promote high self-efficacy. A set of headphones with a mic attached will allow my students to practice hearing books and words read to them and give them opportunities to read without interruptions and background noise. These tools provide me and my students an opportunity to hear and react to their own reading.
