My students are 8th graders enrolled in Algebra and Algebra Readiness. They are great young people determined to succeed, but sometimes they struggle with difficult algebraic concepts and need extra help. Our school is a Title I school with almost 90% of our students receiving free or reduced - price breakfast and lunch. They come from low-income families and many cannot afford to buy basic school supplies .
