Our kindergarten students arrive at school every morning ready to enter an environment full of exploration, wonder, and learning. They are the first class to participate in our new dual language program that provides equally balanced instruction in both English and Spanish to develop proficiency in both languages. Our kindergarten students receive 50% of instruction in English and 50% in Spanish and requires them to learn to read and write in both languages. Our school population is made up of English Language Learners and is considered low-income. Despite the economic struggles they endure; our students, teachers, and parents have dreams of making education accessible to all of our students. Our kindergarten students are eager and enthusiastic about becoming bi-literate members of our dual-language program.
