Starting vegetable plants from seeds is an activity that many students with disabilities enjoy. It is a very structured task and it can be done inside the classroom during the cooler winter months. Last winter, our seed starter trays did not yield many vegetable plants and we think it was simply too cool for the tender seeds to germinate. With the help of these seed propagation mats, we will be able to start our garden earlier this next winter. When we place our seed starter trays onto these electric seed-propagation mats, the heat from these mats will provide the perfect amount of gentle heat so that we will enjoy the maximum germination rate.
