My class is a lively, bright group of 30 4th graders. Our school is Title I, as nearly the entire school population lives below the poverty level. Many are the sons and daughters of parents born elsewhere and are working hard to become the first generation in their family to learn and master English. Although their enthusiasm for learning is relentless, their resources are often limited. Few have access to technology at home and many have not had the life experiences that are invaluable in putting their learning into context.

About my class
