My students are kindergarten and 1st grade students in a bilingual classroom. The school that these students attend is situated in a highly dense poverty-stricken urban area. They are enthusiastic learners who are developing a love for reading. They love reading books and being read to. They frequently ask me to read them books they get from our classroom or school library. They have a great love for reading and want nothing more than to take these books home with them to enjoy with their family. Unfortunately, our school does not have enough books for these children to take home with them.

About my class
