Technology integration is essential for students. Many of the students' in this community do not have access to technology at home or their families cannot afford to have internet capabilities at home. In my classroom, we use computers to access Google Classroom as well as many educational platforms. I have also taken it upon myself to teach my students coding using Code.org and SKRATCH. One to one access will give the students more opportunities to engage with technology in meaningful and challenging ways, which will enhance their academic experience.In order for them to be prepared for their future, they must be career and college ready. Access to technology will provide this opportunity and give them an advantage when competing with their peers. We are in need of a classroom set of Chromebooks. My classroom has previously been the recipient of 10 computers, but we need a class set.
