My students are from a Primary Center located in Los Angeles, California. We are one class out of 10 in the school. Everyone in the school receives free school lunch. In my class I have 18 kindergarteners who live in a low socio economic area. They are all English Language Learners and come from Spanish speaking homes. Most of my students don't have access to any kind of technology in their homes besides a television. They are not technology savvy and will lack those skills early on in their education. They would really benefit from a tablet that could help expose them to the language and vocabulary that they need to acquire to be successful in school.
