Our school is a Title I school in Georgia where 100% of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. We are a neighborhood school that houses grades Pre-K to fifth grade with approximately 750 students. Our students are made up of military dependents, foster children, homeless children, single parent, and dual parent households. We have a large ESOL population as well as five self-contained special education classes. In spite of their hardships, our students are always so cheerful and eager to greet their teachers as they enter our school each morning. Many of them run down the hall and try to be the first one in the door of their classroom. Using this energy, I do my best to provide my students with the tools they need to be successful in a 21st century classroom. This includes hands on science and technology opportunities.
