My K class has 18 students. This year they are an even mix of native English speakers and ESL speakers. I have 2 who have very limited English and the other ESL are learning English quickly. Kindergarten has become quite academic. There is no more nap or play centers. Our school is a Multiple Intelligences School, so we are reaching many kids often left out of "traditional" education. I use games as much as possible to make the learning seem fun. I also use songs and literature, hands-on activities and traditional paper and pencil activities with my class.
