Students learn best when they are actively engaged in their learning. No one likes worksheets, especially in kindergarten. I will use these resources to create literacy and math centers for my students that are engaging, differentiated, and exciting. These resources will allow me to create letter-sound matching puzzles, rhyming games, sight word playdough mats, and so much more. The ink will allow me to print color pictures that engage the students. It is difficult for a 5-year-old learner to connect the CVC words bat and sat when they are looking at black and white pictures. The centers and games will be printed on cardstock and laminated to ensure that they last for more than one year. These center games and activities will be used by not just this years class, but many kindergarten students to come. I already purchased with my own money the content to create these hands-on activities, now I just need to make them! These centers will reinforce learning in letter and number recognition, counting and cardinality, letter sounds, rhyming, onset and rime, CVC words, and counting syllables.
