I have the pleasure to work with seven children who live day to day while facing multiple challenges due to Autism. My public middle school, significantly impacted, self-contained classroom ranges from 6-8 grade. Four of my students are non-verbal, and all of them suffer from extreme sensory, auditory, and visual sensitivity which affect their focus, speech, learning styles, and fine motor skills. My seven students are such sweet students who have a strong will to strive towards achieving daily educational and life skill goals which assist in pushing them towards future independence. With adapted materials and desensitizing techniques, I will be able to successfully work with my students in all educational and daily subjects.
