I am a first grade teacher to 21 six and seven year old students of varying ability. My students are fun, energetic, creative, and inspirational young people. Many come from loving, supportive homes. Others have experienced great loss and hardship already in life. However, they all have one thing in common, they are passionate about reading. They love reading and listening to books.
