My students are enthusiastic and motivated learners. They enjoy hands-on activities and working in collaborative groups to make observations and have discussions. During Language Arts, I mainstream students with autism whom benefit from the cooperative groups as well. It is awesome to see my students actively engaged in their learning activities. Many of my students are also second-language learners. They attend a Title 1/Program Improvement school and qualify for the free lunch program. Many of my students live in government housing in the community. Unfortunately, they have minimal opportunities to use technology to support their learning due impart to their circumstances and insufficient school funding available for technology in the classroom.
