My students are California kindergarteners, most attending their local charter school. We are a diverse group and the peer interaction and cultures in our classroom could drive instruction for much of the year. There are so many "teachable moments", it is sometimes difficult to determine which detours to follow. Twenty five percent of my students are English Language Learners. This year we are working to expand our technology center. When we reach our goal we will have eight laptop computers, eight LeapFrog Leapster Explorer hand held learning game players and age appropriate software.
