The more the students are engaged in a class, the better they will do in class. I want floor seating to encourage the students to work in groups and have interesting discussions about math and science. The better the discussions the kids are having, the more they will be engaged in the subject at hand. I also want the students to be able to sit in a comfortable position closer to the front where they can see the board and be closer to instruction. I also want my students to have a choice as to where they can sit to help them learn best.
