I have taught music at my current school for seven years, and for seven years I have taught in a portable classroom. If you've been in a portable, you know that they are damp, cramped, and not very conducive to teaching and learning. I have managed to decorate and organize my classroom so it is fun and exciting, however the air quality is absolutely dreadful. I have suffered multiple respiratory illnesses and permanent damage to my lungs during my time in this classroom, and I worry about the impact this has on my students. I'm hoping to purchase an air purifier large enough to filter the air in my classroom, providing a healthier environment for my students, and allowing me to spend more time in the classroom free from illness! Every child attends music class at least twice a week, and every child will benefit from this project!
