I currently teach in a middle school in the south suburbs of Chicago. I teach special education students in eight grade who are low functioning, have difficulties in reading and /or have other learning deficits. Our school is currently on the state watch list because our special education students didn't meet AYP in reading for 6th, 7th and 8th grade.
