Our school is in an impoverished inner-city neighborhood in South Central Los Angeles, California. The students’ lives are riddled with obstacles and challenges. Many of my students are first generation Americans whose parents speak little or no English and have little formal education. Despite their disadvantages, my 6th grade students are eager to learn and experience new things. Technology is of great importance and I would love for my students to be exposed to the Kindle Fire!
