My students come from low-income families in a large city. Most are poor in reading and writing, but can feel successful through art making. These children are not exposed to a variety of experiences unless the school provides that opportunity. As their art teacher, it is my responsibility to expose them to as many different ways to express themselves as I can. With a variety of art materials and exposure to many examples of artworks from the real world, the students can have a rich creative experience.

About my class
