I have a diverse population of students consisting of white, black and Hispanic students from low income families. My third grade class includes students who are English language learners as well. Our school is located in a small town of North Carolina in a county that currently has one of the highest rates of unemployment. Our school is very old school from the building standpoint. Many of the classrooms have only 2 outlets installed in the classroom. Books, materials, and supplies are limited due to county budget cuts from the state.
