I have the BEST students! They come to our classroom excited to learn and with all the hopes and dreams of a 6 year old child. Many of our children come from immigrant families from Latin America, Asia, Indonesia, the Philippines, India and the Middle East. We also have families who have lived in the neighborhood for generations and may even live in multi-generational homes. It is a rich, wonderful mix of cultures, languages, and experiences. Last year was my first year teaching in a classroom position after more than 20 years in support teacher and administrator roles. It was such a joy to return to the classroom and to watch the "light bulbs" turn on for my students each and every day. It's also a joy to experience their generous and caring relationships with each other, their desire to learn, and their joyful, energetic, enthusiastic attitudes. Together we learn so much!

About my class
