I have the pleasure of teaching an incredibly motivated group of students. They are a resilient group of learners who deserve innovative tools to improve instruction. I didn't fully realize the impact distance learning would have on my teaching. In the classroom I teach using hands on tools and interactive notebooks. I show examples of how to solve problems. One of my new challenges is translating my instruction into distance learning. This is not a simple task. Especially without the tools for creative, innovative teaching. My school computer does not have touchscreen capabilities that would allow me to teach as if I were in front of the class using a document camera. We teach through remote calls and the apple pencil would enable me to present detailed notes and examples for my students. It would also allow me to take short videos of my screen while I am writing detailed notes on the ipad for asynchronous learning times. Your contribution to my project would have a huge impact on the virtual learning environment I'm creating for my students. It would alleviate the stress of how I am going to teach and allow me to focus on what I am teaching.
