I teach 84 7th and 8th grade scientists who attend a charter school in New York. Most of them come from poverty. Most of them are the most genuine and fun people I know. All they want to do is have a chance to explore their world. In their math and english classes, the focus is on reading, writing, and arithmetic. In science, we can be more exploratory and student-discovery based so I try to design lessons and labs that allow my students to explore their world.

About my class
