I work in a small elementary school with diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. My students are both from the neighborhood and across the city. No matter where they come from, they all love learning and have a huge interest in books. However, kindergartners can be rather impatient at times and are just learning how to be independent. A big goal in kindergarten is learning to complete an assignment and then be self-directed in a learning activity choice.
